Come and learn the art of making shoes in the heart of Leeds city centre. My workshop is part of the craft collective Fabrication and is fully equipped for shoemaking. Please don’t hesitate to contact me to work out times and availability.
1:1 Teaching – £20/hr – Contact me for a bespoke learning experience. Materials not included.
Pattern Making – £250 (4 week Monday evening class optional 5th class to mock up pattern and test it out) Come and find out the basics of developing patterns for footwear. With this knowledge you can begin to develop your own footwear patterns. You will learn how to tape up a last/ how to mark up your last/ how to draw your pattern/ create your standard upper and lining patterns.
Ladies Ballet Flat – £450 pounds
You will learn, the basics of cemented shoe construction. How to create Ballet flat pattern/ Creating and sewing uppers/ lasting/soling/shoe finishing. You will go home with your own handmade pair of shoes.
Sandal Making– 250 pounds
Come and learn how to make your own sandals for the summer. You will create a pair of leather upper sandals. This course is less intense than the full shoe making course and only requires.
